Volunteer Training

Please join us for our volunteer training! We are excited to have you!!

Please email to RSVP for this event. The cost of this training is $20 - we will send you a link to pay via Paypal. You will not be confirmed for the training until you pay the fee. This cost will include your training materials and snacks/drinks throughout the day. This training is limited to 10 people, so we will fill it on a first come basis.

To be a peer counselor on our phone/chat line, you MUST have at leas 6 months of personal breastfeeding experience. You can still be a volunteer with NMC if you have not breastfed, but cannot be a peer counselor.

Come learn all about the Nursing Mother’s Counsel - a brief history, our pump program, phone/chat support, our scope of practice, and all volunteer opportunities!! This is a great way to meet new people and get involved in the community!! Looking forward to seeing you there!!

Please join us this month at Carol Gray's downtown studio to talk about tongue tie and the breastfeeding dyad. We will be screening the documentary Untying Breastfeeding, followed by a Q&A discussion with Carol Gray, LMT, CST and Melissa Cole, IBCLC.  This event will start at 6:30PM - please come early for some networking - and we will start the documentary at 7PM (58 minutes).  Please RSVP as we do have a capacity limit.  This event is FREE, but donations to Nursing Mother's Counsel are much appreciated.  Looking forward to seeing you all there!
