NMC PEER COUNSELOR
PHILOSOPHY
The Nursing
Mothers Counsel of Oregon provides peer
counselor training sessions twice a year.
This is an extensive 18 hours of training that
provides current breastfeeding information and
develops skills that will help you effectively
counsel and support a nursing family.
NMC Peer
counselors are trained to give breastfeeding
information with respect and kindness. We
help moms meet their own breastfeeding goals and
enjoy their breastfeeding experiences.
