Become a Member There are two levels of membership within NMC: Members To be an NMC Member and volunteer, you need not have breastfeeding experience. Membership does require completion of NMC’s training, attendance at four continuing education meetings each year, intent to volunteer (at least 10 3-hour phone peer counseling shifts a year for peer counselors or 10 hours per year for non-counselor volunteers), and the intent to participate on a committee or special project. Each Member has one vote in electing the Officers of the Board of Directors and annual membership dues are on a sliding scale of $5 to $25.
Affiliate Members An Affiliate Member is an organization, business, or birthing, lactation or medical professional who wishes to affiliate with NMC, without accepting all of the duties required of a Member. Annual membership dues for Affiliate Member are $30.00. |
