Non-cash gifts are also gladly accepted. NMC happily accepts printing services, breast pads, SNS Feeders, gift cards for nursing bras, etc. for low-income mothers, and business services in the areas of medicine, fundraising, strategic planning, board development, legal advice and accounting.

Since 1977 thanks to generous supporters and volunteers Nursing Mothers Counsel of Oregon  has succeeded in providing support, promotion and protection of breastfeeding within our community. To continue helping 12,000 moms and their babies annually, we welcome all levels of donation, whether it’s a one-time gift, a monthly donation, or employer matching gift programs.

NMC is presently an all  volunteer run and has no physical office space to maintain, therefore we are able to keep our overhead very low and you will be pleased to know that nearly 100% of all donated funds go directly to pay for the important services NMC provides to low income families within our community.

$40 = One month of grant breast pump rental for a low income woman.

 

$90 = Initial consultation with a lactation professional for a woman without other access to care.  Vital help during vulnerable times.

 

$120 = Case of six Supplemental Nursing Systems for low-income mom.

 

$500 = Provides 20 hours of professional facilitation and prep time for peer counseling training.

 
$1300 = Purchase of Symphony breast pump for rental to very low birth weight preemies. 
 
$1500 = Free telephone helpline for one year.
